Protect Orange County is a transformative Activist Group that started back in 2010. We began our fight against fracked gas infrastructure with our battle against the Minisink Compressor Station, as StopMCS.  Our website was hacked and our domain stolen by a CPV Millennium affiliate, so we formed ProtectOrange County.org. We embraced a strategy of empowering the community from the ground up, facilitating leadership opportunities and advocating for changes with a real impact.

What started as a local fight, quickly grew to encompass members from outside communities. We realized that each project became the pretext for the next. Together with our allies and partners, Protect Orange County engages and mobilizes to protect the air, water, farms, forests, and wetlands along with the homes, health, and safety of all sentient beings living in Orange County.
